‘Fed Up Mexicans’: Protester Makes Powerful Statement During América-Pachuca Game

An on-field protest temporarily stopped the América-Pachuca game on Wednesday. The statement made on behalf of ‘fed up Mexicans,’ however, is still reverberating.

The unidentified man ran onto the field wearing various messages printed on his long sleeve sweatpants and shirt. “Fed Up Mexicans” and “Mexican Government [Is] Repressive, Murderous, Corrupt [and] Neoliberal,” read the most prominent messages on the front of his shirt. The number 43 representing the disappeared students of Ayotzinapa was also featured prominently on his clothes.
